Gypsy Lady

My life isn’t over

My songs have just begun

I dream of making music

My writing never done

Part of the constellation

Part mortal, part divine

I am a gypsy lady, I am a Gemini

I have 3 loves that ground me

I love them more than life

I have a man to hold me and

I love being his wife

I am a gypsy lady, I wear my happiness on my face

I am a gypsy lady who dresses up in lace

I am a gypsy lady who dresses up in lace

I am a gypsy lady and I like to dress in lace

I am a gypsy lady who dresses up in lace

My mind tends to wander

It takes me place to place

I’m always dreaming elsewhere,

And singing ore the place

I am a gypsy lady who dresses up in lace

Spent life as a young girl

In an Irish fishing town

Then flew across the ocean

To a medicine town

Then sailed to an island

Found romance in the sun

I am a gypsy lady, look at all I’ve done

I’ve trouble staying settled

And I’m rarely satisfied

You may think that you know me

But I’ve more colors than the sky

You will never really know

There are parts I always hide

I am a gypsy lady, and few march by my side
